Engineering Researcher Receives Contract for Road-Design Simulation

John D. Lee, PA A ’88, has received a $900,000 contract from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration.

Dr. Lee is a professor of mechanical and industrial engineering at the University of Iowa College of Engineering. He is charged with the task of making driving simulators more useful to highway designers who want to build safer roadways.
