U.S. Infrastructure – ‘D’ Grade

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) released the 2009 Report Card for America’s Infrastructure. The nation received a ‘D’ grade with needs of $2.2 trillion in repairs and upgrades to meet adequate conditions in the next five years.

ASCE president D. Wayne Klotz, TX D ’74, had this assessment of the nation’s infrastructure, “Crumbling infrastructure has a direct impact on our personal and economic health, and the nation’s infrastructure crisis is endangering our future prosperity.”
