Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

Today, February 19, is Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day. As part of Engineers Week, this special day began in 2001.

The focus of this day is to raise awareness to empower girls to pursue careers in STEM disciplines, such as engineering. Visit this site for more information.

Many volunteers and professionals from the engineering community will take part in this effort. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will meet with female high school students on Thursday to offer information on female NCDOT engineers. Read more.
