The Virginia Beta chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, will have two booths at the upcoming 2009 Kids’ Tech University.
Kids’ Tech is an outreach program started by the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute at Virginia Tech and Professor Reinhard Laubenbacher. The goal is to increase interest in the STEM disciplines in children between the ages of 8-12.
At the April 18th installment of the Kids’ program, VA Beta will have a booth teaching kids how to build a circuit and another booth demonstrating catapult forces with origami.
