Four alumni of Rutgers University are being awarded its “Medal of Excellence” for major contributions to society, business, government, or education. Two of the award recipients are Tau Bates.

Mark Lutchen, NJ B ’73, will receive the “lifetime achievement award” in part for his consulting services to senior executives on information technology strategies.
Benjamin M. Williams, NJ B ’01, will receive the “distinguished young alumnus award” for his valuations and energy appraisals for utility properties worldwide.
