The University of California, Davis, has announced that Linda Katehi will be the next university chancellor.

Katehi, IL A ’77, is currently a professor at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She is scheduled to begin as chancellor starting on August 17th. Read the news release

Roger King, MS A ’73, has been named the permanent director of Mississippi State’s Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems (CAVS).

King was previously the associate dean of research and graduate studies for MSU’s Bagley School of Engineering.
CAVS research areas include a wide range of vehicular engineering-related activities. Read press release

Terese M. Kinsley, FL A ’82, will start this week as the newly-created chief of sustainability officer for the Town of Huntington (N.Y.).

Kinsley, a licensed professional engineer and LEED accredited professional, will oversee the town’s spending of federal stimulus funds for energy-related projects. Read article
