The first solar-hybrid power plant capable of fulfilling all of its own energy needs has been installed in Israel.

The plant is powered by 30 solar reflectors and a “flower” tower. Occupying a small amount of space for its output, the plant can power remote areas not connected to other larger grids.

The Science Channel has announced a new television series, “Catch It Keep It.” The show will “test contestants engineering mettle in a race against the clock to rescue valuable prizes.”

The show will be hosted by Zach Selwyn, and each episdoe three contestants will square off against the Science Channel’s “engineer of destruction,” Mike Senese. Read news release
