According to a new National Science Foundation report, enrollment at U.S. academic institutions in Science and Education (S&E) programs increased by 3.3% in 2007.
Ethnic diversity among S&E graduate students also increased in 2007. White, non-Hispanic students accounted for 71% of U.S. citizens enrolled in 2000 compared to 66% in 2007.
