The space shuttle Endeavour undocked from the International Space Station Tuesday. Pilot Douglas Hurley, LA B ’88, guided Endeavour around the Space Station as crewmates took photographs.

As part of a ten-member group of in-state universities, the University of South Florida (USF) is collaborating with the Florida Energy Systems Consortium in developing strategies to implement renewable and cost-effective alternative energy sources.
With the aid of a three-year grant, the School of Architecture and Community Design at USF is partnering with the College of Engineering’s Clean Energy Research Center to build a “moderately priced home using renewable and highly efficient solar energy.”
The home will be a center open to the public and used for USF faculty and students to learn the applications and strategies of renewable resources. Read article
