As an extension of the prestigious Woodrow Wilson National Foundation, a 2009 first-time program is looking for its next group of Fellows.
The Woodrow Wilson Indiana Teaching Fellowships offers recent college graduates and career changers in STEM fields a $30,000 stipend during a master’s degree program at one of four Indiana universities. In exchange, the Fellows commit to teach math, science or technology for three years in an Indiana public school.

An article from The Chronicle of Higher Education profiles the new dean of engineering at Alfred University and her desire for engineering students to ‘understand the big picture.’

Doreen Edwards is the first female dean of the Kazuo Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred. She is one of only 24 other female deans of engineering across the country.

The article profiles her career as she explains the need for improving the collaboration between engineering and other disciplines that will help students develop crossdisciplinary skills.
