Richard Gaster, PA D ’06, and Drew Hall, NV B ’05, received the IEEE Student Humanitarian Supreme Prize for their “lab-on-a-stick.”

The NanoLab: A Hand-Held Diagnostic Laboratory is designed to offer third world countries access to medical diagnostic laboratories. The device is capable of quantitative multiplex protein detection, is simple to use, and more cost-efficient for illness diagnosing.
