Two senior engineering students at the University of Wyoming have been awarded the National Consortium for Measurement and Signature Intelligence Research (NCMR) Scholars Program grants.
Jennifer Beman, WY A ’10, and Rob Streeter, WY A ’10, are both seniors in electrical and computer engineering at the UW College of Engineering and Applied Science.
The two had to meet specific requirements to qualify for the grants and possess an impressive extracurricular activities slate, boosted by their involvement with the Wyoming Alpha chapter of Tau Beta Pi. Read the news release

Auburn University and the University of Wyoming are reporting that federal grant money has been received for research projects.
At Auburn, the money will be used to develop five projects related to biofuels production. The goal being to “design a high productivity system to harvest, process, and transport woody biomass from southern pine plantations. Read more
In an effort to stimulate clean-coal research and technology, the U.S. Department of Energy is providing funding for two proposals from the University of Wyoming.
