BAE Systems and Quest International have partnered in developing a new airplane filter system.
AirManager, the filter system, claims to destory 99.9% of infectious diseases and pollutants on an aircraft through the use of an “electric field to kill off germs and break down other particles circulating in the air.”
The machines are designed for aircrafts, however, the filters are estimated to cost £10,000 each. Read full article

A researcher from the Maryland is part of a team trying to convince NASA to fund a sailing expedition on another moon in the solar system.
The team is developing a sailing vessel that would set out to sail on Titan, the methane body of water located on one of Saturn’s moons.

He said that “the company is focusing on quality, fuel efficiency, safety, and value.” In addition, Ford is planning on offering a “plug-in hybrid car launch by 2012.” Read article
