Google has announced the purchase of reCaptcha, a company that “develops online word puzzles to serve both as Web-site security and to help digitize printed text.”
Software engineer Colin McMillen, MN A ’03, receives credit with five others for reCaptcha, which originated from a project of the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.
