Teams from around the country bring their cars to compete on the lighted dirt track. The vehicles are called “mini-Baja racers” and compete in a four-hour endurance race.

A graduate student and mechanical engineering professor at Purdue University have developed a new cooling technology pumped through microchannels.

The process is similar to the larger-scale process used in freezers, however, the tiny channels cut in chips makes them behave in a unique fashion. The university is making cooled chips with this new technique and the help of Delphi Electronics. Read article

The University of Marquette received approval from its board of trustees to move forward with a new College of Engineering facility.

The first phase will include a five-story building with research and teaching laboratories and a two-story engineering materials and structural testing laboratory. Read article for more information
