Wastewater treatment is a hot topic in Orleans, MA, and wastewater management specialist Pio Lombardo, P.E. (MA Z ’69), is at the center of the discussion with his “cluster system.”

The cluster system utilizes small plans that “collect, treat, and dispose of wastewater, and can help keep nitrogen from septic systems out of costal waters.”

Several sewer system proposals are being petitioned.

The University of Utah’s College of Engineering hosted its “Engineering Iditarod” this past week.

Competitors in the Engineering Iditarod start their search.

The textbooks were ‘earned’ through solving engineering-related challenges. The College is hoping to make the Iditarod an annual event. Read more

Clemson University Professor Emeritus, Dr. Jack C. McCormac (SC A ’48), has written multiple engineering textbooks and is now trying his hand at fiction mystery novels.

Dr. McCormac’s The Sketching Detective is the first fiction novel he has written and is now available. Read news release
