An article in the Los Angeles Times updated this year’s U.S. DOE Solar Decathlon and highlighted several teams from Washington.

According to the article, Team California (Santa Clara University and the California College of the Arts) currently leads the competition with judging set to continue through Friday.

A new website has been dedicated to “identifying colleges and universities that are leading by example in their commitment to sustainability.”

The Report Card, offers readers a place to learn about universities’ efforts to improve sustainability on their campus. The website is published by the Sustainable Endowments Institute, which assesses 300 public and private colleges and universities with the largest endowments.

Visit the site to learn more about projects and details of sustainability at your university, and find out your campus’ Report Card grade.

A recent survey, “Saviors of Our Cities: 2009 Survey of College and University Civic Partnerships” has released its rankings of top 25 universities “in terms of their contributions to the communities surrounding their campuses.”
