Trine University has announced that Dr. Will David Lindquist, KS A ’02, has joined the Reiners Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering as an assistant professor.

Dr. Lindquist specializes in structural and materials engineering and will be an adviser for the school’s concrete canoe competition. Read news release

Stanford University and Volkswagen are working together on the new Volkswagen Automotive Innovation Laboratory (VAIL) to help further the development of new automotive technologies.

Volkswagen and Stanford have a strong history of partnership and collaboration. Dean of the Stanford School of Engineering, James D. Plummer (CA E ’66), is excited about the opportunities for the future.

“VAIL will provide a home on campus for faculty and students from around the university to work on advanced automotive research,” said Plummer. “Transportation is a globally important area in which engineers play a vital role.”

He is “an experienced intellectual property lawyer who focuses on software, electrical, and mechanical engineering work.”
He will join Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P.’s intellectual property practice. Read news release
