A day of scientific and engineering experiments was topped-off with a keynote address from retired astronaut Michael J. McCulley, IN A ’70.

The goal of the 14th annual Space Day at Purdue University was “trying to get them (500 third-through eighth-graders) interested in science and engineering,” said Collin Morgan (IN A 2010), senior engineering major and co-director of the event.

Union College announced three student-athletes have been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Teams.

Junior Bridget Little, NY M 2011, a mechanical engineering major and member of the varsity volleyball team at Union was selected to the Third Team. Read news release

The Putnam County Family YMCA (TN), recently held its annual Haunted Half Marathon and kid’s Hero Half Marathon coinciding with Halloween. The races are events to raise money for YMCA programs and to raise awareness of the “dangerous pandemic of childhood obesity.”

In the summary article, the Putnam YMCA thanked Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, Tennessee Gamma Chapter at Tennessee Technological University, for its contributions.
