Tau Beta Pi would like to remind its members about Engineers Week 2010. This year’s theme is “Discover Engineering.”

Engineers Week runs from February 14 through 20. This year celebrates the 20th anniversary of DiscoverE-identified programs. Also, do not forget about Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (Feb. 18).

Tau Beta Pi is proud to be an Official Partner of the inaugural USA Science & Engineering Festival to be held in the Washington, D.C., area in October 2010.
The Festival is a collaboration of more than 500 of the country’s leading science and engineering organizations and aims to reignite the interest of our nation’s youth in the sciences.
The culmination of the Festival will be a two-day Expo on the National Mall on October 23-24. Tau Beta Pi will be hosting a MindSET related activity and Tau Bates will be discussing engineering and the Association with all in attendance.

The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), in partnership with the National Science Foundation (NSF), has launched a Corporate Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Program.
The program allows 40 engineering PhD recipients the opportunity to conduct research of great national interest in a corporate setting.
Research fellows will receive a stipend of at least $75,000 along with health care benefits. Fellows must hold a PhD awarded in an engineering field within the last three years and be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or permanent residents.
