The nation’s largest and leading voluntary health organization, The American Diabetes Association (ADA), has announced the election of Joseph C. Cook, Jr., TN A ’65, to its Board of Directors.

Currently, Cook is a principal and co-founder of Mountain Group Capital, LLC and the Limestone Fund, LLC. He has been actively involved with the American Diabetes Association Research Fund for several years.

According to reports from CTI Career Search, biomedical engineering is leading the way in job growth.

Citing several sources and examples, including that the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates “that the (biomedical engineering) profession will grow by 72% between 2008 and 2018.

Dr. Eugene Eckstein, FL B ’70, says “that one of the main factors behind the rapid growth of biomedical engineering is the expansion and evolution of biology and medicine.”

Automated Media Services, Inc., Allendale (NJ), has announced the addition of five members to its senior engineering team.

Among them is Pete Daly, a Senior Mechanical Engineer, who will join the lab that is responsible “for the creation and development of 3GTv.” Read full press release
