Engineering Spotlight: People and Trends 2010

TED, (Technology, Entertainment, Design), started as an annual event “where some of the world’s leading thinkers and doers are invited to share what they are most passionate about.”

On February 12, there will be a “TEDx” event in Tampa Bay, FL. Included in the presenters is Dr. Paul Schnitzler, FL G ’57, a faculty member at the University of South Florida and Senior Director, Systems, for Deep Sea Link, Inc.

Ellen J. Kullman spoke as part of the Lyon and Bendheim Lecture as Tufts University last week.

Kullman is currently CEO and Chairman of DuPont. She received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tufts.

This past week in Florida, an aerospace sector vice president of Northrop Grumman Corp. , spoke to students about the future of engineering.
