With winter comes Tau Beta Pi Chapters’ spring events. Texas Beta (visit website) at Texas Tech University has put together a January Newsletter.

Highlighted in the Newsletter are the upcoming Engineering Futures Session, a Trebuchet Contest, and participation in the college’s engineering fair.

At Washington University in St. Louis, the Missouri Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Pi is taking part in the University’s EnWeek 2010.

EnWeek, February 13-20, coincides with the national celebration of Engineers Week 2010. EnWeek is organized by WU’s EnCouncil, which is “moving toward its 100th anniversary in 2013.”

This year, the MO G Chapter of Tau Beta Pi is hosting Nerf Gun Capture the Flag, Monday, February 15, at the Lopata Gallery. See the EnWeek schedule for more information

The first Tau Beta Pi District Conference of 2010 was held in Huntsville, AL, at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), on February 5-6.

According to a news report in The Exponent, UAH student newspaper, the District 6 conference hosted more than 100 Tau Beta Pi members.

Included in the activities was a campus-wide scavenger hunt and a Jeopardy game. Read the article for more on the District 6 spring conference
