Joseph Goering, IA A 2010, a mechanical engineering major and president of the Engineering Student Council.
Chief Advisor of the Iowa Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, Dr. LeAnn Faidley, assistant professor (IA A 2000), was also recognized as an “outstanding adviser” for her work with the student organization.

David Karp, NJ D 2010, and another student from Princeton University have been awarded the Winston Churchill Foundation scholarship to study at the University of Cambridge. Read news release

He plans on earning a master of philosophy degree in engineering and then plans to return to the United States to pursue a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering. Karp is also a 2009-2010 Tau Beta Pi Scholar.

At the upcoming banquet for the Fort Worth Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, two Tau Beta Pi members will receive 2010 awards.
Dave Burkett, TX B 2001, is scheduled to receive the Young Engineer of the Year award. Currently, Burkett works as managing municipal for Halff Associates, Inc. and is a volunteer/coordinator for MATHCOUNTS competitions.
Dr. James C. Williams, NM B ’76, will receive the Engineer of the Year award. Dr. Williams is a professor and Chief Advisor of the Texas Eta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at the University of Texas as Arlington. Read full article
