At the 48th Annual National Engineers Week Banquet of the Quad City Engineering and Science Council (QCESC) awarded Larry Pithan, P.E., (IA A ’73) the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Mr. Pithan is currently Senior Vice President with KJWW Engineering Consultants and was recognized for “providing outstanding support to the engineering profession.”

At the BEYA conference in Baltimore last weekend, several awards were given out.
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Navy Adm. Mike Mullen, presented the lifetime achievement award to Army Gen. William E. “Kip” Ward. Read news release from U.S. Department of Defense

Texas Tech is announcing that Amber Lubbers, TX B 2010, has been named the recipient of the McAuley Distinguished Engineering Student Award for 2010.
Lubbers will graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. In her time as an undergraduate student, she has earned 14 scholarships.
