A recent story in the Los Angeles Times profiled Mark Fuller, UT A ’76, “feature creator” of fountains and CEO of WET (Design).

One of Fuller’s most recent creations is a “32-acre artificial lake at the foot of the world’s tallest building — the Burj Khalifa in Dubai — with 1,500 water jets that can blast streams 500 feet in the air…”

This pas Saturday, students at the University of Texas El Paso (UTEP) celebrated the St. Patrick’s Texas College of Mines Day.

The celebration is part of a 90-year-old tradition that dates back to when the college was originally named the Texas College of Mines.

The article from the El Paso Times, discusses how UTEP was originally an engineering school and a rivalry grew between students of liberal arts and engineering in 1927 when the school first expanded the curriculum.
