Syracuse University’s Commencement ceremony is scheduled for this upcoming Sunday and this week the University announced its 2010 Scholars.

This is the highest undergraduate academic honor bestowed upon students at Syracuse. Two of the seniors are Tau Beta Pi members:
Mari A. Allison, NY B 2010, is graduating with a degree in bioengineering and plans to continue on with a doctoral program as a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow.
Scott A. Kuzdeba, NY B 2010, double majored in electrical engineering and economics and plans to work with BAE Systems in the company’s Engineering Leadership Development Program.

Missouri S&T announced that four graduating seniors have been named recipients of national awards.

Jon McKinney, MO B 2010, recently received an Environmental Protection Agency STAR fellowship and a Tau Beta Pi Fellowship to support his pursuit of a master’s degree in chemical engineering.
Junior Cailie Carlile, MO B 2011, received a Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship from the U.S. Department of Energy.

On Saturday, May 8, the University of Kentucky’s College of Engineering held its graduation ceremony to recognize the 550 graduates in the 2010 class.
Some of the awards handed out included:
Tau Beta Pi Outstanding College of Engineering Teacher – Dr. Christine Goble
Tau Beta Pi Outstanding College of Engineering Senior – Sam Nicaise, KY A 2010
Tau Beta Pi Outstanding College of Engineering Staff – Janet Prewitt
