Tau Beta Pi: 125 years

Tau Beta Pi was founded on June 15, 1885. Today, the Association proudly celebrates 125 years of excellence.

With a total initiated membership of 516,000, Tau Beta Pi is the world’s largest engineering honor society. There are 236 collegiate chapters and 16 alumnus chapters across the country.

The World Headquarters of Tau Beta Pi is located in Knoxville, TN, on the campus of The University of Tennessee, its home since 1907.

For this year’s Convention, Tau Beta Pi returning home to Lehigh University, where the Association was created by founder Dr. Edward H. Williams, Jr.
