Profiles in Engineering, June 2010

An environmental engineer, Rebecca Nadel, is profiled for her work as part of Shell Oil’s “global strategy to expand natural gas production because of its lower emissions and its smaller physical impacts on the landscape.”

Previously, Nadel worked with the U.S. Navy “analyzing sonar waves sent out by sub-hunting surface vessels.” She has also studied “how sound waves affect whales and other marine life.”
