The Indo-U.S. Collaboration for Engineering Education is highlighted in a recent article by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
The program “offers practical training for engineering professors in India,” and was founded by Dr. Krishna Vedula, MA Q ’67. The workshops are held in India each summer. To date more than 1,000 Indian faculty members have been trained by at least 36 American professors.
Two of the American professors mentioned in the article for working this summer in India are Dr. C. Sidney Burrus, TX G ’58, and Dr. Richard Felder, NY H ’62.

The Seattle Museum of Flight hosted a groundbreaking this week for the museum’s new Human Space Flight Gallery. President and CEO of the Museum, Dr. Bonnie J. Dunbar, TX E ’83, spoke at the event.
“The shuttle has roots back into this area (WA) that extend back to the 1960s. … Many of its original designers came from this state,” said former NASA astronaut Dunbar.
