Chris E. Covert, KS G ’75, has been named the new president and chief executive officer of Foster Wheeler USA according to a press release from BusinessWire.

Covert was most recently senior vice president and project director at Fluor Corporation. He has “more than 30 years of experience in major upstream and downstream process facilities.” Foster Wheeler USA is the Houston-based subsidiary of Foster Wheeler AG.

The Washington Post featured the work of ECOtality in “deploying 15,000 free electric-car chargers this fall in 13 cities.” ECO received stimulus funds for the project.

Don Karner, (AZ B ’73) president and chief executive of ECOtality North America says, “Our project is designed to really look at what we need to do to make electric-vehicle infrastructure sustaining as a business.”

Citybizlist is reporting that KCI Technologies Inc., has acquired ASC geosciences inc. (FL).

ASC specializes “in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering.” Founder of ASC, D.S. Saxena, P.E., will become the corporate practice leade of KCI’s forensic engineering practice and Anu Saxena, P.E. (FL A ’87), ASC’s president will serve as vice president and regional practice leader at KCI.
