Lacrosse Magazine announced that United States Military at West Point’s (Army) Andrew Maisano, NY U 2010, has been named the 2009-10 Patriot League Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Maisano graduated 26th in his class, as a systems engineering major, was the captain of the men’s lacrosse team, and earned First-Team Academic All-America by ESPN The Magazine and the College Sports Information Directors Associations.

The Utah Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Pi recently submitted their Greater Interest in Government (GIG) report of their September 2009 activity with the Whittier Center adventure playground.
Twenty members from the Utah Gamma Chapter at the Utah State University volunteered to help improve the adventure playground by installing a rubber bridge and helping with general construction of the playground’s improvements.
The financial contributions from Tau Beta Pi’s GIG grant funded the purchase of the rubber bridge. Look for more details of this wonderful project in upcoming issues of Tau Beta Pi’s The Bulletin and The BENT.

Bucknell University’s Travis Nissley, PA E 2011, was named the Patriot League Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the 2009-10 season. Read more

Nissley is a mechanical engineering major and linebacker for the Bucknell Bisons. He currently has a 4.0 grade-point average entering his senior season and was also in the running for the Patriot League Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
