NASA has awarded a grant to two University of Memphis professors for research “into materials suitable for use in long-term, distant space missions.”
Dr. Jeffrey Marchetta, TN E ’97, is one of the professors. He will work with scientists and engineers from several space centers and will involve students, giving them a chance to work with NASA personnel.

The News Star (LA) is reporting that Dr. James Nelson, P.E. (LA G ’75), is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at Louisiana Tech’s summer graduation.

Dr. Nelson is currently the associate dean for undergraduate studies, the director of the Integrated STEM Education Research Center, and associate director for the Center for Entrepreneurship and Information Technology.
