The presentation, Selecting an Expert Witness, “will advise on how to select and be selected as an expert witness.”

The guest writer for the Chicago Tribune, speaks about her experience as a female engineer, her interpretation of recent studies of females in STEM fields, and her advice on how to get more females involved.

Akos Ledeczi (TN B ’95), associate professor at Vanderbilt University, is leading a team of researchers in developing “technology that can measure the speed of sound on a soldier’s helmet.”

The new technology uses the science of sound to measure the muzzle blast and sonic boom of a bullet. This can allow soldiers to quickly identify where shots are being fired from and potentially save lives.
