The Contra Costa Times recently announced that Jerry A. Klein (CA D ’61), founder and president of The Chatman Group, will speak at Morgan Lewis (CA) as part of a luncheon on September 8, 2010.

The presentation, Selecting an Expert Witness, “will advise on how to select and be selected as an expert witness.”

Akos Ledeczi (TN B ’95), associate professor at Vanderbilt University, is leading a team of researchers in developing “technology that can measure the speed of sound on a soldier’s helmet.”

The new technology uses the science of sound to measure the muzzle blast and sonic boom of a bullet. This can allow soldiers to quickly identify where shots are being fired from and potentially save lives.
