Warren Lundblad, P.E. (ND A ’85), has been appointed as the new vice president of engineering at Gibbs & Cox, Inc., one of the leading independent naval architecture and marine engineering firms.

For the past 25 years Capt. Lundblad has served in the U.S. Navy and was most recently program manager at Naval Sea Systems Command.

Two Tau Beta Pi members have recently assumed leadership roles with the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE).

Dr. Lyle D. Feisel, P.E. (IA A ’61), will be the interim executive director for ASEE as they complete a national search for a new executive director.

Also, Dr. Claire B. McCullough, P.E. (TN B ’80), has been elected as president of the ASEE-Southeastern Section. The position has a one-year term and she will help coordinate the annual conference to be held at the Citadel (SC) in April 2011.

DUECO, Inc. has announced the hiring of Steve Freier, WI B ’07, as an applications engineer.

Freier most recently worked as an engineering intern at Stroh Die Casting Company and received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from Marquette University. Read the full press release for more information on DUECO and Freier.
