Congratulations to the California Psi Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at the University of California, San Diego, for winning the R.C. Matthews Outstanding Chapter Award for 2009-10.

The Montana Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at Montana State University, won the R.H. Nagel Most Improved Chapter Award for 2009-10.

The Washington Post recently published an article about women in upper echelons of the U.S. defense industry.

The recent trend includes Linda Hudson, FL A ’72, who was named president of BAE Systems’ Arlington-based U.S. business last year. She and four other high-ranking defense industry females made the Fortune’s 50 Most Powerful Women in Business list this year.

The USA Science & Engineering Festival kick-off was this past weekend. The USA Today highlighted the events of the first weekend here.

Tau Beta Pi and the MindSET Program will be hosting a booth at the culmination of the Festival, a two-day expo on October 23-24. Be sure to learn about all of the activities available, including satellite events at 50 sites nationwide.
