The Kansas State University Libraries recently detailed the history of the “K-Hill and the K-State Keepsakes” in an article.
The history of the K-Hill with large white concrete “KS” letters was developed by engineering students in 1915. Since that time, members of the Sigma Tau and Tau Beta Pi honor societies have been responsible for their upkeep.

Ian McCarrell, FL Z 2010, a recent chemical engineering graduate from the Florida Institute of Technology, was recognized for honors and service during his undergraduate years by the Green Bay Press Gazette.
McCarrell received the Central Florida AIChE Scholarship, the Donald F. Othmer Sophomore Academic Excellence Award, and the Outstanding Senior in Chemical Engineering Award. He also served as president of the local AIChE chapter and was vice president of the Florida Zeta chapter of Tau Beta Pi. Read more
