Three varsity soccer athletes, two from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and one from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, have been named to their respective 2010 ESPN Academic All-District teams.
The three Tau Beta Pi student-athlete members are:
Brad Shelofsky, NY G 2011, a junior mechanical engineering major, soccer team captain, and two-time Liberty League defensive performer of the week, is now eligible for National Academic All-America consideration.
Paul Moan, MA A 2011, varsity team goalkeeper, double major in civil engineering and fire protection, and with a 4.0 GPA, is now on the national ballot for All-America consideration in the College Division (Div. II, III, & NAIA).
Keeon Tabrizi, MA A 2011, is a varsity midfield player, majoring in biomedical engineering and pre-med, and cataloger for the MA Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at WPI.

Aron Ralston’s (PA G ’97) story of his 2003 self-amputation of his right arm has been made into a feature film. 127 Hours, to release Friday November 12, is a film based on the true story of Ralston’s canyoneering accident in Utah.

Three teams of volunteers at Howard University’s DC Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi volunteered to help restore and fence boundary stones around the District of Columbia.
