At the University of Washington researchers are examining the environmental effects of tidal turbines.

Dr. Brian Polagye, NJ D ’00, is one of the researchers involved on the project. Two turbines will be placed in Admiralty Inlet as part of the demonstration project. Read the article for more information on the energy potential of tidal turbines.

The Arkansas Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi was highlighted for their work at the University of Arkansas in initiating 27 student members for the fall 2010 semester.
