Two of the donations were from URI alumni and the other from Toray Plastics (America). One of the alumni donors made an anonymous gift and “attributed some of his success to the dedication of the engineering faculty. His gift will fund the Robert S. Haas (WI B ’45) Endowed Professorship in Electrical Engineering.”

The AP recently reported on the ceiling lights that can also be a pathway to the Internet. The first lights of their kind are scheduled to be installed this week in six municipal buildings in Minnesota. LVX System is the builder of the lights.
