General Motors has announced the promotion of Mary Barra, MI Z ’85, to senior vice president of global product development.

Most recently Barra was a vice president of global human resources. In her new role, she will be in charge of the “development of future cars and trucks.”

The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) will host its 2011 Annual Conference & Exposition from June 26-29, in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

As part of the conference, Tau Beta Pi will host a reception on Monday, June 27, from 6-11pm. This will be Tau Beta Pi’s 31st annual reception at the ASEE Conference. The Association invites you to stop by and join the discussion of “encouraging excellence and developing total quality leadership in engineering education.”
