Tau Beta Pi would like to recognize and remember Stanley G. Schaffer, PA B ’41, who passed away last week at the age of 91.

Mr. Schaffer was a president of Duquesne Light Co. for 25 years, a well-known philanthropist, and highly involved with Penn State University as a member of the board of trustees. Read the full obituary

The Maryland Beta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at the University of Maryland, has extended the deadline, through February 4th, to receive applications for the TBP Scholarships for engineering undergraduates.

This year MD Beta will award one $1,000 scholarship to an engineering freshman or sophomore and two $500 scholarships to TBP electees from the 2010 calendar year. Being a member of Tau Beta Pi is not necessary to be eligible for these opportunities, click here for more information
