NAE Election, Opportunities, & Research

The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) has announced the election of 68 new members and nine foreign associates. This is one of the highest professional distinctions for an engineer. Read the press release with the full list

A new competition started by the University of Notre Dame will “recognize outstanding undergraduates from any university or college who are engaged in research in nanoscience and engineering.”

Researchers at Cornell University have published a new study, “Understanding Current Causes of Women’s Underrepresentation in Science.”

Click here to read about the study, which attributes women’s own choices, based on “biological and social realities,” not discrimination, as the reason women are under represented in the sciences.
