CDI Corp., a staffing company, has announced a new agreement with Boeing Company to provide design help using Drexel University engineering students.

According to the article, students will have the opportunity to work on programs, including “the CH-47 military helicopter, the V-22 Osprey aircraft, and the Boeing 787 transport jet.”

The annual American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) Southeastern Section Conference will take place at The Citadel on April 10-12.

ASEE would like to announce the call for abstracts for the student poster competition. The deadline for submitting an application is March 14th. Click here for more information

The Chronicle of Higher Education recently profiled work being done at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Researchers at UCLA have developed an iPhone application that can track Parkinson’s Disease.

The iPhone and the app work together as an accelerometer to measure the severity of the disease and then transmit the data back to the doctors. Read more about the remote diagnosis research here
