Activities & Events: E-Week 2011

Dr. Kenneth C. Hover, P.E. (OH B ’72), will be the speaker Thursday at the Engineers Week dinner in Binghamton, NY.

Dr. Hover, president of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), is a professor at Cornell University and will discuss “Things I Learned while Pursuing a Career in Engineering.” The dinner is being presented by two professional engineering groups in New York.

The Senate officially approved Resolution 6 making February 20-26 National Engineers Week. Tennessee Tech University also has brought E-Week activities and celebrations back on campus this year.

Rushi Amin, TN G 2011, is a senior and is treasurer of the TN Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Pi. Amin was quoted and expressed his enthusiasm for engineer by saying, “Electrical engineering is the best darn major.”

The student newspaper at the University of Central Florida, the Central Florida Future, profiled UCF’s College of Engineering and Computer Science E-Week events.

The Florida Delta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi was cited as a participating organization in this week’s events, which include a code debugging challenge, a club showcase, and much more. Read the full article
