Tau Beta Pi announces the passing of John L. Rumpf, Ph.D. (PA Z ’43), a dedicated engineer and engineering educator.

Dr. Rumpf spent most of his career at Temple University as a faculty member, dean of the College of Engineering Technology, and as vice president of the faculty.

Dr. Toufic M. Hijazi, MS B ’80, is an associate professor and Dean of the College of Engineering at Hariri Canadian University in Meshref, Lebanon.

Formerly, he was a member of GM’s Global Technology Engineering and Advanced Engineering Staff. His professional research interests include electric machines and drive systems. Learn more about Dr. Hijazi here

Last weekend, the New York Pi Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at Rochester Institute of Technology, hosted their spring initiation. It was a proud moment for Todd Spath, NY P 2000, to see his son Timothy Spath, NY P 2011, initiated as a member of Tau Beta Pi.

Timothy is a mechanical engineering major and Todd works for Kodak. We congratulate the Spath family for their engineering accomplishments.
