The Des Moines Register is reporting that Iowa Governor Terry Branstad has appointed Paul Trombino, WI G ’95, as director of the Iowa Department of Transportation.

Currently, Trombino is the director of Bureau of Transit, Local Roads, Rails, and Harbors for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Click here to read more

Members of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) elected its Board of Directors for 2011 this month.

Dr. Sandra A. Yost, MI D ’81, was elected as the Vice President. Dr. Yost is a professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Detroit Mercy. She is also an advisor to the MI Delta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi.

David M. Garlington, WA A ’79, has been hired as the city engineer and assistant public works director for the City of Sequim (WA). Read the full article
