In April, three new inductees were welcomed by the LSU College of Engineering into its 30th annual Hall of Distinction. Two of the inductees are Tau Bates: Read the news release

Roy O. Martin III, LA A ’82, is president and CFO of Roy O. Martin Lumber Company and a director and co-founder of Indigo Minerals, LLC, and Perforex Forest Services (LA).

Stephen Michael Moret, LA A ’95, is secretary of the Louisiana Department of Economic Development, appointed by Governor Booy Jindal in 2008.

In a recent press release, Texas A&M University at Qatar announced the graduation of its 100th Qatari engineer this week at the University’s commencement ceremony.

Dr. Mark H. Weichold, TX D ’78, is Dean and CEO of Texas A&M at Qatar. He is also president of the Tau Beta Pi Texas Delta(q) chapter in Qatar. The first international initiation of Tau Beta Pi took place in Qatar this April.

The University of Rochester has announced that nine student athletes have been named to the University’s chapter of Phi Betta Kappa. Click here for the announcement

Kirsten Ross, NY K 2011, women’s soccer team

Benjamin Yezer, NY K 2011, football team and vice president of the NY Kappa Chapter of Tau Beta Pi
