Dr. Amar G. Bose (MA B ’52), founder of audio technology company Bose Corp., is donating the majority of the Bose’s privately held stock to MIT.
MIT will receive annual cash dividends on shares and will use the payments “to sustain and advance MIT’s education and research mission.” Click here for the news article from the AP

The final launch of the space shuttle Endeavour has been delayed until May 8th. On board the shuttle will be carbon nanotube and graphene thin films from Dr. Mark C. Hersam, IL A ’96, and his research team. Read more
The films will spend at least six months mounted on the outside of the International Space Station. The test will be an important step towards using the materials on satellites in space.
