At Clemson University, the Thomas Green Clemson Academy of Engineers and Scientists has inducted four new members and recognized two Outstanding Young Alumni. See the news release
Of the six honorees, five are Tau Bates:
Terry Gettys (SC A ’78) – director of research and development for the Michelin Group
Walter Fleming Jones (SC A ’78) – executive director of the Office of Naval Research
Jay Lathrop (SC A ’48) – professor emeritus at Clemson University
Hugh W. Hillhouse (SC A ’95) – Young Alumni & Chair in the University of Washington chemical engineering department
John M. Shea (SC A ’93) – Young Alumni & associate professor at the University of Florida

Last month, several groups on campus, including the Missouri Beta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, hosted the ninth annual Student Leaders’ Awards Program at the Missouri University of Science & Technology.
